ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta 2023 Format
The tournament will see 8 teams fight against each other for the ultimate title and a lion’s share from the prize pool. Of these 8 teams, one team has received a direct invite under Local Hero Invite. The remaining 17 teams have qualified based on the ESL World Rankings and respective qualifiers. These eight teams are equally divided into two groups, which will follow a double-elimination format in the group stage. The Opening and Winners’ matches are best-of-1 game series while the Elimination and Decider maps are best-of-3 game series. The top two teams will make it to the Playoffs, which will feature a Single-elimination bracket with all matches of the Best-of-3-game series. The winner of this tournament will qualify for the ESL Pro League S19.
