We always tend to get attracted towards the shiny things and that has resulted into a supply chain crisis that hamstrung the entire industry. But AMD's renowned CEO, Dr. Lisa Su does not consider it to be an issue for the upcoming Zen 4 CPU launch.

In Ryzen 7000-series processor announcement in Austin, Dr. Su answered a question about the supply chain disruption in relation to the launch of its new CPUs.

If we look back at the last 18 months, then there were number of things such as capacity limitations, logistics etc but as per Dr. Su the overall capacity has been increased in terms of wafers as well as substrates. Moreover, she says with the launch of Zen 4 there's no chance of supply constraints.

It will take little more time to get the things in the normal state. So, there will be an event at the end of August and a sale on September 27. They are trying to make the products available to people worldwide so that they can purchase them.

That's in fact a great news for those looking to make big upgrade to the brand-new Ryzen platform. There will also be a host of high-end motherboards and four distinct Ryzen 7000-series processors too who will together hit the market on September 27.

AMD has already told a lot about the increased performance outlook for its new Zen 4 processors positing a 13% overall profit compared to the previous generation. If this increase is compared with the 8-10% increase then it initially suggested back at Computex, that's a bit of a jump. But it's a good sign of the health of new architecture at the start of its life.
