Since its debut back in May, Apex Legends Mobile has expanded in popularity. To keep up with
the expectations of fans, each new season and mid-season update are filled with new
characters being added to the game. The upcoming season titled ‘Hyperbeat’ drops on August
23rd , 2022, bringing new modes, a new legend titled Crypto, exciting events, and much more.
The most exciting part of the recent update in Apex Legends Mobile is the launch of the legend,
who already exists in the PC version, to mobile. Tae Joon Park goes by the name ‘Crypto’ and
has joined the Apex Games to find out who had accused him of murder in the past. His area of
expertise lies in secretly observing his rivals in the Apex Arena using aerial drones. The abilities
of Crypto are listed below -

•  Passive skill: Neurolink - Using his passive ability, Crypto, along with his squad can view
•    what his surveillance drone senses up to a 30-meter distance.
• actical skill: Surveillance Drone – Crypto uses an aerial drone to fly over the region and
• observe the area from above. There is a forty-second cooldown period once the drone is
• destroyed before a second one can be deployed.
•  Ultimate skill: Drone EMP - An EMP blast from Crypto's surveillance drone damages
• shields, delays enemies, and disables traps only to give him the upper hand in
• practically any battle. Moreover, it is especially helpful when one's opponent is
• positioned in a fortified position due to the shield damage.

Crypto also comes with various perks, a list of which is given below.

● Self-Destruct: After three seconds, destroyed drones detonate, delaying and harming
any enemies caught in the blast.
● Hidden User: Become semi-transparent when controlling drones.
● System Scan: The drone can reveal an enemy’s HP and armor after 3 seconds of
    scanning.
● Shut Down: Ultimate ability damages HP but is unable to kill an enemy.
● Lag Bomb: The drone can launch an EMP bomb that slows and deals damage.
● Salvage Operation: Drone can retrieve items.
● Battle Adaptation: Using Finisher adds 100 points to the EVO Shield.
● Restart: Using Finisher instantly repairs drones or reduces the Ultimate’s cooldown
by 30%.
● Interrogator: Using the Finisher reveals the location of the target’s squad on the mini-
map

Alongside the upcoming season, a brand-new battle pass will be launched with amazing looks
for Lifeline, Mirage, Pathfinder, the different weapons, and much more. With the release of
Hyperbeat, a new ranked split will be introduced with more ranked rewards. Also, the ranks of
players will be reset, similar to the previous seasons, with higher ranks receiving additional
ranked goodies. New VIP Supply Bins can be located all across Kings Canyon. One needs to
open the VIP Loot Crates to collect a VIP pass and obtain crates containing powerful gear.

Finally, there are many bugs that were affecting players’ gameplay in Apex Legends Mobile that
have been fixed, a list of which is given below -
● Rhapsody's tactical and ultimate skills have been amplified to their full potential in order
to minimize squadmate disruption.
● The problem where the Legend selection VO on Rhapsody wouldn't play correctly has
    been fixed.
● The bug where Gibraltar's Dome Shield would endure even when Fade's Ultimate power
     affected it has been fixed.
● The glitch where after vanishing, Loba's Black Market would leave behind residual visual
     effects has been corrected.
