Many fans have criticised Call of Duty over a new Operator skin, saying it appears to be a
duplicate of a Variant from DEADROP, a forthcoming first-person shooter by Dr Disrespect. A
Midnight Society developer has now made a joke about Call of Duty.

Given the long history of the Doc criticising previous games and crushing his rivals, there are
high hopes for the game that Dr Disrespect's gaming firm, Midnight Society, will release in
December 2021. The end of July 2022 saw Midnight Society announce the name of their new
game, DEADROP, a vertical extraction shooter, and the release of some very early gameplay
    videos.

But the Variants in DEADROP are a crucial component. Early adopters of the game will have
purchased a Founders Pass, which came with a special character called a Variant that was
    one of just 10,000 available.

As a result, each developer and participant has their own Variant, complete with unique
qualities and rarities to distinguish them from one another.

A sci-fi-themed Operator skin, complete with cloak and light blue flair added to the skin, was
part of Call of Duty's Malware Ultra Skin Bundle that was unveiled on August 15. Almost
immediately, numerous players observed that it looked similar to a Midnight Society Variant.
