    MultiVersus Season 1 update brings new characters, character changes, bug fixes more

    The excitement surrounding the debut of Season 1 of the crossover fighting game Multiversus is
    immense, as the game gets a release today. Following season 1, an array of changes and new
    features including character buffs and nerfs, balance adjustments, bug fixes and more will be
    live this August. A second update for the game will go live later this week, according to the
    MultiVersus patch notes, which also reveal that today's version has been split into two.

    With a free-to-play cycle that changes every two weeks, there are already 17 different
    characters accessible. Also, it has been confirmed that the latest MultiVersus character, Morty,
    shall be dropping in on August 23rd , 2022. There are four different free characters to play from
    namely Arya, Batman, LeBron, and Steven from 15th to 30th August. Following the Season 1
    update, the powers of characters like Fin and Velma will be nerfed.

    Battle Pass XP match prizes have been increased to 10 points for victories and 5 points for
    defeats, from the previous 5 points for a win and 3 points for a loss. The patch note lists out the
    general benefits, bug fixes, and changes being made in the game and is given below -

    ● Increased consistency on the perk effect for ‘Clear the Air’.
    ● The problem wherein missiles weren't dealing additional damage has been fixed.
    ● Ice De-buff: Slowing down of movement speed at 1 stack is now 15% instead of 20%.
    ● Ability Cooldowns: A problem that prevented cooldowns from being activated correctly
        when used close to allies has been corrected.
    ● Announcer Pack: Before choosing to unlock a character's announcer pack, players can
        now preview it.

    The playable characters of the game have either been given a buff or a nerf. As for Batman, the
    problem where he would miss his target while using a grapple if the opponent dodges has been
    fixed.

    Additional whiff recovery has been included for Superman. The cooldown time for Wonder
    Woman has been lowered from 13 seconds to 12 seconds. An issue that prevented Tom and
    Jerry from using standard attacks after the Air Special limit has been fixed. Players should get in
    on the action with many more characters undergoing an update and various bugs getting fixed.
