A major flaw has been fixed in Evil Dead: The Game. Evil Dead: The Game has been out for
two weeks. That should be enough time for players to get the hang of the asymmetric
multiplayer game and all of its quirks. Unfortunately, this also applies to less ethical Evil
Dead: The Game players. Cheating, exploits, and mid-match cheeses have become more
common. Saber Interactive, on the other hand, is responding. The latest Evil Dead: The Game
patch addresses several issues, including one particularly vexing exploit. 1.0.5 Update.
Some Evil Dead: The Game players may have encountered this exploit and were unaware of
it. There was a simple method that allowed players to cancel animations while still
completing the action they were performing. This exploit has been fixed in Evil Dead: The
Game patch 1.0.5, so players should no longer be concerned that their opponent has an
    inherent advantage over them.

To prevent more egregious cheating in the game, a variety of other quality-of-life changes
have been made to Evil Dead: The Game. Cheats that allow players to speed hack, generate
health quickly, and even change their character models have all been addressed. Furthermore,
Saber Interactive has stated that it is working on a more substantial anti-cheat update that will
take a more active role in preventing cheating in Evil Dead: The Game rather than relying on
Saber to address issues via updates. In addition, the patch makes some minor but significant
balance changes to Evil Dead: The Game. To prevent more egregious cheating in the game, a
variety of other quality-of-life changes have been made to Evil Dead: The Game. Both
Cheryl and Ash from the first Evil Dead game have had their healing attributes rebalanced.
Amanda's Weapon Master: Pistol skill has also been tweaked. Saber Interactive is keeping an
eye on trends and adjusting balance based on what the gameplay meta requires.

Saber Interactive's effort is encouraging for Evil Dead: The Game players. Successful live-
service games, such as Evil Dead: The Game, necessitate constant monitoring as the
multiplayer meta shifts from week to week and month to month, as new content is added and
old content fades in popularity. Patch 1.0.5 is the first update for Evil Dead: The Game, but
    more are on the way.
